Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director to build and lead our US tax operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, optimizing processes, and driving strategic initiatives for our US tax operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire tax compliance process for US operations, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and legal, to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
• Prepare and present tax-related reports and analyses to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax operations.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in tax operations, with a focus on US tax compliance and strategy.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tax software and technology tools to streamline processes.
